ABOUT US

 2012 - IN THE BEGINNING

After working for NetApp & EMC with distinction, our founder Lee Rogers realised that there was a gap in the market for a partner that could offer complex data centre solutions at a fair price, and as such in 2012, Simplify IT was formed. The technical team was built under the vaunted reputation of Chief Technical Officer Dave McCarthy using level 3 consultants from the biggest UK resellers.

Our name was well considered, for the mantra was and is to keep IT simple - because simplicity works.

After gaining a reputation for excellent service, and scooping a number of awards, the team expanded into new technologies and didn't look back. Simplify IT went from being "The NetApp guys" to providing top level managed services, network, Wi-Fi, compute, security, business continuity, hardware, software, training, and more. As the company acquired new talent, as the existing staff acquired new capability and accreditation, so the skills matrix grew.

 MAKING MOVES

After a sustained period of growth, the business outgrew it's Stratford upon Avon headquarters and moved to new premises in Alcester. This new base gave the business the breathing space to expand again with increased sales, administration, marketing and technical support staff, as well as continuing the determination to find the best technical consultants in the business. This meant the company was in great shape to ride out the massive challenges Covid19 presented. Not only to ourselves but to our customers and partners.

 SIMPLIFY TECHNOLOGY GROUP

As a result of helping many schools and colleges adapt through Covid, with large remote user bases of students and staff, Simplify IT now had vast experience of supporting remote working and the challenges of bringing them all back together with stressed networks in post lockdown.

Lee, never one to let the grass grow under his feet saw an opportunity to expand this further by offering connected classroom, user devices, interactive displays, safeguarding, A/V, digital signage and more to add to all the traditional IT infrastructure we offered. The vision was to be able to offer anything and everything a school could possibly need in terms of tech.

With that in mind, Simplify IT acquired Education Technology specialists CC Communications. Soon after, Simplify Technology Group was created, with Simplify IT and CC Communications sitting under this new group. And thus a new chapter began.

 TRAGEDY AND RESOLVE

As the new group took shape, tragedy struck. Lee Rogers passed away in a terrible accident while flying to France in 2022, and his loss is still keenly felt. Now under the leadership of Lee's wife Sarah, we continue the work he started with determination and resolve - to be better.

We never forget our values, why the business was created, what makes it tick, and what at the core is why it is the award-winning business we are today: enterprise capability with small business agility.
