Cisco Tech Forum: Review

Being only Six weeks in at Simplify IT and holding the first event since I have joined, I have been blown away by not only the in the investment in the marketing tools and people, but also the reputation in the industry and recognition of the great work that simplify IT deliver and execute to very a high standard.

The event yesterday at Cisco’s Flagship HeadQuarters in Bedfont Lakes was no exception. I was excited to build on my knowledge of Cisco. From the moment you walk through the door you can tell this building breathes innovation, we had a look around the Customer Experience Centre before we welcomed attendees. "Cisco has been at the forefront of creating a connected world for some time".

You can really see how Cisco have an emphasis on showing its customers how new technology can help them reach their business needs and outcomes, rather than just telling them. I can’t think of better location to learn in.

Lee Rogers MD at Simplify IT welcomed everyone, introduced the guest speakers and outlined the agenda for the day. Neil Trevains started with digital transformation, SDN and Networking. Next up was Justin Woolen from Cisco discussing Change, Intent Based Networking and Value Beyond Connectivity.

We stopped for a quick lunch provided by Cisco and had a chance to network and explore the surroundings.

Andy Brocklehurst continued the afternoon sessions with Cisco Meraki with James Lee discussing and demonstrating everything around security and Cisco's new approach. Overall we have had a great day learning that Cisco is more than just networking and discovered we need to embrace a # multicloud world, reinvent the #network , unlock the power of #data while remembering #security is foundational.

Lastly, I would like to say a big thank you to all those who attended and a big thank you to Cisco and their presenters.
